Laser cutting – as precise as a light beam

The use of laser technology has opened up completely new opportunities in the areas of metal component design and processing.

Laser cutting

Since its invention, many professional uses have been developed for laser technology. Among the most important by far in metalwork, however, is laser cutting. The use of computer controlled cutting lasers allows for the finest contours, which would have previously required a considerably larger amount of effort or not have been possible at all. Laser cutting combines high processing speed with incredibly precise workmanship.

BBW Lasertechnik – the expert for metal processing through laser cutting.

In order to provide customers with the best technology on the market, we specialise in laser cutting metal sheets with a thickness of up to 6 mm. We are equipped with a wide range of specialised laser cutting machines, so we are able to respond precisely to our customers’ respective technical requirements. Thus, even the processing of extremely thin film up to 0.01 mm is no problem for our pulsed Nd:YAG laser or our fibre laser.

Laser cutting

Metal processing from A to Z – from laser cutting to finishing.

In addition to laser cutting, we are equipped with the right machinery for further processing. This way, we are able to guarantee consistently high quality throughout the entire working process. We promise perfect results, whether you require us to pickle, grind or finish your product with a surface structure, or would like us to process entire assembly groups using CNC bending machines, insertion machines or CNC machines.

Speed and precision are not mutually exclusive.

When laser cutting metal sheets with a thickness of less than 1.5 mm, we use a 500 W single mode fibre laser, which reaches a very high speed and has a cutting width of around 20 microns. If you would like to know more about the technical details, please send us an enquiry – we are happy to help!

If necessary, we use a chemical (pickling) and mechanical process (barrelling) for reworking and deburring pre-cut edges.
