Screen inserts are used in the household appliances industry. The current production volume at BBW Lasertechnik is 1,500 units per year. 

The manufacturing process for this product comprises the three main areas of laser drilling, laser cutting and laser welding. 

The special features of production are as follows: Firstly, the screen insert requires a conical inlet bore. Secondly, the speed of laser drilling is very high, enabling several holes to be drilled per second. Also worth mentioning is the combination of laser drilling and laser cutting in just one work step.
