For the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry, we manufacture 250 to 300 pcs. of a component per year for scanning electron microscopes. The parts are handled in specially designed fixtures and processed exclusively with appropriate gloves to ensure the highest level of cleanliness.
The stainless steel components surrounding the ceramic part are joined distortion-free using laser welding. This process enables precise, reproducible welds with minimal thermal stress on the material. Afterwards, leak testing is performed using helium leak detection to ensure the vacuum-tightness of each component. The finished parts are then prepared for shipment in their corresponding fixtures.
We perform various services in the production of this sensor holder.
First, the pharmaceutical tube is precisely cut to the appropriate length and washed, followed by turning the disk. The disk (with sapphire glass inside) is then welded together with the tube. One difficulty here is that the glass is in close proximity to the weld seam.
After these production steps, we carry out a comprehensive inspection of the surface roughness and cleanliness class to ensure that the product meets the highest quality standards. The requirement here is a visually perfect weld seam as well as a flawless surface and cleanliness - which makes this product ideal for use in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.
