Laser welding with fixed optics is the standard method for the fast execution of a welding job. This process is primarily used when welding must be done at different angles in a three-dimensional space. Weld procedure development is less demanding compared to scanner welding, and it is also easier to apply gas by attaching the gas nozzle to the fixed optics. In this respect, fixed optics are used wherever possible for small quantities where there is high complexity in the geometries to be welded.
